Western Energy is hiring a Billings / AR Coordinator to join our team in our Calgary location!

 

Western Energy Services Corp. (Corporate) is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through our drilling division in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing and rental services in Canada.

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Billings / AR Coordinator to support our Drilling division. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Billings department by preparing customer billing invoices, managing third-party billing, and working closely with marketing and field operations personnel, rig managers, and other members of the Finance team to ensure billing is completed efficiently and on time.

What You’ll Do:

·         Interpret drilling contracts (CAOEC and IADC) to create accurate billing summaries from daily tour sheets. 

·         Convert billing summaries into customer invoices on a timely basis, using Microsoft Dynamics GP.

·         Review, analyze, and invoice relevant third-party charges.

·         Liaise with Marketing and Operations personnel with respect to customer contracts and issue resolution.

·         Prepare final customer invoices and submit them in accordance with customer workflows and systems.

·         Organize and maintain customer invoice documentation, tour sheets and billing records.

·         Generate accurate credit and debit memos.

·         Perform other tasks and duties as required.

What You Bring:

The Billings / AR Coordinator is proactive, analytical, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

·         1-3 years experience in an AR / Billings role or related AP/AR role.

·         Experience interpreting energy services contracts will be preferred.

·         Strong attention to details, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

·         The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Previous experience within the drilling or oilfield services industry is considered an asset.
